This project looks into the female characters in films and TV series who reflect their subjective consciousness, and makes use of the form of illustration to highlight their portraits as a monument. The Ones, the name of the project, argues that the female images selected from the fictional world are Ones, who have their own motivation and desire, rather than Others to men. They live, think and act driven by themselves. They do not want to live in male gaze. The logo is developed based on the typeface's combination and transformation, and forms an inverse sign of females (♀) to stress the rebellion of these women. The main tone is set up as red colour, which symbolises the real and strong passion inside their bodies to live as they want. The figures in the illustrations are designed like stable statues with the sharpness of outlines, lights, shades, colour and textures, so that audiences can be impressed and moved. As far as I am concerned, the ones are worth it to be remembered by means of illustrations. The illustrated portraits are going on to be updated.
